Jamie (KMG-365) > This is the "Rich's" Low saddle. A friend left it here and I'm just taking pics for a potential buyer. It is still fairly wide in the rear, but as you can see--MUCH lower and narrower in the front. I have not ridden on it, but I do hear from others that it is very comfortable (though not on the level of a Russell Day-Long), and for folks who find the RT too tall and/or top heavy presents a good solution--unless you want to do the Iron Butt Rally! ;-)
Jamie (KMG-365) > A view showing the undersides (seat pans) of the Rich's saddle (left) and the stock saddle (right).
Jamie (KMG-365) > Another view of the same detail shot.
Jamie (KMG-365) > Here is a closer look (from a higher angle) of the Rich's saddle. Nice clean lines and I believe it is also full leather.
Jamie (KMG-365) > Here is the underside of the Rich's "Low" saddle. You can see the modifications (cut-outs in the pan and the bumpers removed) of the seat pan to lower it even more than could be done with the foam modifications alone. I noticed in putting it on the bike for the pic, that it is SO low that it wiggles a bit. I saw another EXTREME lowering job done by a guy who was 5'2" tall, and he had to put a ~1/4"-3/8" rubber spacer on top of the tang coming off of the back of the rider's seat to take up the space that lowering the front seat pan left and it seemed very solid! If I can find the pics of that mod, I'll add them here.
Jamie (KMG-365) > Another view from the starboard side of the bike.
